Environmental Policy

It is Gladedale Group policy to carry out its operations in a manner which minimises the risk to the surrounding environment, as far as is reasonably practicable.

The Group will provide the instruction, information and training required to educate directors, managers, staff and contractors on the control measures that are deemed necessary to deliver on the above statement.

Sufficient time and resources will be provided for implementing any arrangements and procedures needed to fulfil the requirements of the policy.

We are committed to carrying out our operations in a manner which does not adversely affect or pollute water courses, which reduces noise/dust emissions, and which targets waste reduction through pro-active management and control of our on-site activities in accordance with current legislation and industry standards of best practice. Furthermore, it is our policy to ensure that air pollution by any recognised contaminant or hazardous agent is restricted to minimal levels and remains below maximum threshold levels at all times.

Through pre-qualification of suppliers, contractors and designers, along with risk assessment and continuous monitoring, we undertake to source materials from sustainable, controlled and managed sources, and to treat and handle our materials in a manner which poses no significant risk to health, safety or the environment.

This statement of environmental policy is one of a series of policy statements of commitment and intent, and should be read in conjunction with our other policy statements.

This statement of environmental policy is supported by appropriate implementation arrangements and procedures, is auditable, and forms an ongoing agenda item for the Executive Board.
