Gladedale Estates

Gladedale Estates acts on behalf of the Group as a vehicle involved in strategic development, and in strengthening the Group’s land bank and creating regeneration opportunities throughout the UK.

Gladedale Estates supports the Group’s three principal brands - Bett Homes, Ben Bailey Homes and Country & Metropolitan Homes - within the regions in which they operate.

We are currently working on a range of regeneration projects throughout the UK including the restoration of heritage sites for residential, community and mixed-use developments, as well as urban renewal and town centre projects. The business builds on our proven track record in this type of project work, together with our strong emphasis on partnering with local and community groups.

We are currently seeking to increase our joint venture and collaboration projects with other developers and landowners, and a strong emphasis in the future will be on promoting research into, and delivery of sustainable and carbon-neutral projects.

Gladedale has successfully delivered a number of major projects including the Royal Quay development at London's Docklands, the Oatlands project to deliver 1,200 homes in partnership with Glasgow City Council, the Shoebury Garrison development in Essex, and the Quartermile mixed-use development at the old Royal Infirmary Hospital in Edinburgh.

Gladedale Estates is also able to identify strategic applications to bring sites through the planning system, with the aim of delivering value for all stakeholders. This can be seen at our developments in Rissington, Polegate and Wickford.

Gladedale Estates also works on maintaining and developing strategic relationships with government bodies such as the Homes and Communities Agency in England, English Heritage and former CABE, as well as housing associations and local authorities. Strong links also exist with the HBF, particularly with regard to emerging policy and general housing needs.

The aim of all these relationships is to maximise collaboration on future projects, in order to deliver homes that meet the needs of the local community throughout the UK.
